President’s Message By Robert E. Uhler On behalf of the Mobile Claims Association, I wish all Association members, vendors, sponsors, and their families all the very best for a safe and happy Christmas and New Year period and a healthy and prosperous 2025. Celebrate the season in the true spirit of Christmas, which is a time to be mindful and considerate of our fellow men & women and spread goodwill and happiness to those around us. Look after yourself and your family over the holiday season. If you have to drive anywhere, drive carefully. Reflecting on the past year, I am filled with gratitude and pride for the accomplishments of our Association. Together, we have: Successful Mobile Claims Association Annual Golf Tournament at Magnolia Grove Golf Club on March 28th, 2024. Spring elections of the new MCA Board! A Fantastic Mobile Claims Association Annual Holiday Party at The Hope Farm on December 10th, 2024. Interesting and insightful monthly MCA Meetings with great presenters which benefitted the members. Our upcoming MCA Annual Golf Tournament at Magnolia Grove Golf Club on Thursday, March 27th, 2025. Save The Date! These achievements reflect the unwavering dedication of our members and the strength of our shared mission. As we look forward to 2025, let us continue to celebrate and preserve the remarkable legacy of the Mobile Claims Association. Presentation Topic: "Understanding the Science Behind Smoke and Water Damage to Electronic Equipment” Description: Fires are particularly hazardous to equipment because of the potential for excessive heat exposure, smoke penetration into equipment, corrosiveness of the residues, and frequently, the presence of water from firefighting efforts. Understanding the impacts on equipment will give insurance adjusters more tools to be able to better evaluate damages and properly adjust a claim. This course will explore the types of damages to equipment that can be seen following a fire as well as how the severity of the hazard can be quantified. Case studies will be included throughout the presentation. CE Credits: Earn 1-hour CE Credit for AL, FL, and TX. | | | | | | | | | | | |

Attendance fees for meetings have been updated: $25.00 for members and $35.00 for non-members. Moving forward, meeting venues will require payment for future MCA meetings. However, to help offset costs for attendees, we've negotiated a buffet-style dinner menu. | |
